Favorite Quote:
The words I write are the only things that make me feel alive.

Weightless;
the only source of light is a
icy, wintergreen candle
flickering warm bits of
light in a dark, hidden corner.

Weightless;
you feel your slick body sink
under the water as if
you were a droplet falling,
melting into a flame.

Weightless;
the aroma filling your
lungs like smoke.
Watching the essence and
heat of the water turn to steam,
hovering and dancing and
twirling over the calm water.

Weightless;
mind empty, everything
adrift.
Reflections cover your body,
taking over your image.

Weightless;
the light glistens off the still
water,
tracing the outlines of your curves.
It glows as it shows every
water droplet running down
your helpless, limp body.

Weightless;
you close your dreary eyes
taking in a deep, sweet breath.

Weightless;
feeling your body relax more
and more,
sinking more and more.

Weightless;
still water slowly engulfs
your scarred skin, soaking
into your damned bones.

Weightless;
letting your broke, damaged
heart
leak into the water
around you
as you fight the salty tears.

Weightless;
telling yourself to not
go under forever.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece after I experienced this. When I actually had a moment of relaxation in this quiet, warm place with such a refreshing scent, I could finally clear my mind. Soaking in the warm, still water, I felt okay for a moment. My demons were drowning.
