I thought I was done
I thought I could stop.

I guess not

The blood leaks from my arm
I can barely feel the pain anymore

So I find myself cutting deeper and deeper.

I can see the past the skin now
When I cut

The scabs have hardlly heeled before I do it again

So much wreched pain on the inside,
Why can't I feel it on the outside?

When it does come, the pain

I smile with relief
The blood, the pain, the joy, the secret.

It's like my own scarlet letter

But I'm not ashamed
I wear it with pride.

Because it means
I'm finally free
