Passion erupting from my heart
Saturating my veins
Endless dreams
Endless plans
I want to be successful
I need to be successful
All planned out
Will it work out?
Become a part of the white picket fence crew
Two little boys kicking soccer balls around the green grass
Man of my dreams
Job of my dreams
Monday through Friday
Creating, inventing, expressing
Independent strong women
Making my own money
Being my own person
Pain fills my body when I think to the future
I want it so bad I can smell it
the holiday candles and minivan gas
I want to be the perfect mom
The perfect wife
The perfect me

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem for an honors writing class. Since I was three or four years old, I knew I wanted to be a mom. This poem was my way of expressing my overwhelming amount of passion for the future. It was also kind of a thank you to my mom for being a role model mother.
