"Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable." Cesar A. Cruz

one hundred fifty grams
eleven pounds of butter
the way you feel about yourself
the way you treat your mother
five hundred thirty two butterflies
a single grain of salt
the way your thoughts quicken
almost faster than your pulse
four hundred twenty four soldiers
thirteen pieces of pizza
the amount of times you held his hand
and tried to pick your feet up
seventy seven gallons of ink
forty sheets of paper
enough time to catch a breath
and worry about it later
eight thousand desk chairs
seven twists to make tight
what it takes to put pen to paper
and close your eyes at night
one billion strands of hair
sixty three lines
how many words can I say
to tell myself I'm fine?
