"Nothing is Trivial..."

The darkness enfolds
Sweet shadows she finds
Mommy I love you
Daddy don't you see?
Nothing here is free
The distance that takes me away
I cry free
I laugh lost
Fight the greatness
For failure is yours
The tombstone cries
A desperate taste of a bitter life
It wasn't her fault
It would later be said
But the damage was done
All was made to be seen
For what difference did it make?
The wine was sour
The alcohol fermented
The funeral forgotten
The party just a whisper
The money was just paper
We killed for this?
We loved for profit
I gave you my heart
You gave me hate
With a bullet I found my lasting salvation
With a gun you found yours
Vigilante justice is justified
For clearly the failure lies with you
Forgive me god for this is done
I haven't learned from my mistakes
But I count them
The darkness enfolds
Sweet shadows I find
Brother I love you
Why can't you see?
Money will be the end of us
Family was forgotten some time ago
The wine was sour
The alcohol fermented
The birthday forgotten
The room sold
The blanket cold
The dreams linger
Oh can you see them?
The distance that finds me
Lies to me
Objects are closer than they appear
I have won
I have dreamed
I am a poor
Soul saved in a archaic joke
I was believed
I was brought in
The coldness fades
The brokenness stays
Shattered mind that thinks too clear
The alcohol cold
The wine red
The celebration a roar
A world found to be
At the fingertips of us
Generation won
Maybe this time
We'll succeed in something bigger than us
