The sadness of a cloudy day,
rain pouring down.
Crying, tears
just more inconsequential drips
in the endless stream
of hopelessness.
The cloying fog
enclosing you like a trap
pushing you into an ocean,
an ocean of despair,
depression;
life boat barely in sight.
Clasp the hands of empathy,
grasp the proffered
sympathy
never let it go.
