Trailing Whispers and Sadness

Swimming in the water.
Life a fantasy.
Mother hold me tightly,
Or perhaps just set me free.
Give me illusions; a shadow
Beneath a tree.
Quivering candle lights and
Softness in the breeze.
Trailing whispers and sadness
In your eyes.
Trying to take a detour,
But you're not hidden in that disguise.
Is it true what they say?
That everything will go to waste?
Nothing here?
Nothing there?
Just silence in the air?
Music pounding in my veins.
It's the ecstasy that I crave.
Stuck in a life full of
Trailing whispers and sadness.
