Decay

The walls here are coated in rust and sticky with blood
Diseased
Abandoned
Flickering halogen lights swing back and forth in nauseating spirals
The air smells like static
And acetone
Chains and meat hooks
They were never alone
In this empty place
Something else is here
It's awake
Mouth full of old nails
Throat full of splinters
Veins full of tar
The dark hallways are screaming
Lips
Sewn
Closed
From the inside
Skin burned away
Face like a tattered cloth mask
Please let them go home
The sound of
Bone
Grinding
On bone
Reverberates through the bleach-scented air
Something is crawling
Like an insect
Through these corridors
On severed limbs
Words are scrawled on these walls
Smeared in flesh and hate
Its mouth opens
Thick black thread
Breaking
Teeth replaced with nails
It devours
The light is gone.
