When you have no dead or living story
what do you write about?
Do you write about the gory glory
that you have never seen about?

And if so, how can you tell the tale
that makes men proud of who they are?
How can you make truth sound so delicate and frail,
when really it is so bloody bizarre?

When you finally get an idea that seems so profound,
about starved children dying .
Just wonder a few seconds about hunger’s sound,
and I am sure your agony will make you shout.

Why not write about the tragic romance
of two star-crossed lovers who end their life
for their dolour turns into death, just to enhance
a continuous family strife?

Except that tale had been told,
and it isn't even yours to hold.

So when you have no dead or living story
