Trust,
what is it?
An idea of sorts?
Or maybe a lifestyle?
No, it’s a bond,
a gift that is given in the company of your heart.
The greatest honor you can bestow.
However it is inconceivably hard to give when broken, for who can truly fix it?
An idea, un-restorable without regaining loyalty, but to whom? Who to trust when we all strut around in sheep’s clothing?
A beam of light on a cloudy day,
a golden saint, to a sinful page. But who can forge trust that will never break,
when hearts are too fragile to recreate.

The author's comments:
This is an old poem I wrote in seventh grade, lately I’ve been digging a lot of old work up, so I thought “What better time to write about trust than in a day and age when everyone’s at each other’s necks?” because a wise man once said, knowing is half the battle

If love produced a blossom/I’d take it in my palm/What a blessing, the bright color!/How soothing, such a balm!/I’d keep a petal for my own/The rest, drop from my hands/For such a flower would multiply/And populate the lands~ thesilentraven
And I began to rival legends/Long entombed before my birth./But for all my much envied fame/The lust for more would not abate./The plaques and prizes with my name/Will, like all things, disintegrate. ~ TheEpic95 now known as Helena_Noel

OHMY! You wrote this in the seventh grade. ANSEM! I am not even going to begin to describe how amazing this was right cause I am just so swept away by how wonderfully you wrote in the seventh grade. Okay. So I'll come back here and write something more useful later. FOR NOW: last two lines are perfect. JUST. Okay no words.
