This has been the longest winter of my life

The bitter cold cutting like a knife

The nights have grown so long

And I fear I’m not that strong

White powder blanketing the ground

Just where can happiness be found?

All I see is ice and snow

Please, someone must know

When will my spring come?

Right now all I feel is numb

When will I thaw?

The wind leaves my skin red and raw

Icicles hanging from every tree

While darkness encompasses me

I hope spring is on its way

Because like this I don’t know how much longer I can stay
