Flower Petal

Dishes shatter and
all the words are sharp
and plastic plates with duct tape
resound a flat rage
like mismatched cups and broken cupboards
pantries housed
with dust and gaping vacancy
old bottles are broken and empty
like
everything
one little girl
who has to cut her own hair,
with proud eyes whispers
"this flower petal
will take you to china."
