They Don't Me

They do not know the real me,
The insecure girl they do not see.
The girl who self harms to deal with her past,
The girl whose life changes way to fast.
The girl who hides in her shadow of doubt,
Never really knowing what life is about.
The girl who smiles just to get by,
So no one thinks to ask why.
The girl who cries while walking in the rain,
The girl who feels like there is nothing to gain.
