Eyes always glittering,
Teeth always shining,
Passions always burning,
Lucy was the perfect woman.

Yesterday she had moved in,
And in a fortnight,
We were to be wed.

But one day,
I entered the office,
and saw my Lucy,
in a passionate embrace,
with a man unbeknownst to me.

She saw me,
And stopped in her tracks,
Pleading with me,
Telling me that it was not so.

But it was over.
We were finished.

The author's comments:
"Lucy" is a symbol of how many of us have fallen deeply in love, only to be heartbroken later. We must remind ourselves that even if something happens with our "Lucy", we can get through it, with a little help from our friends and family. After all, "Lucy" is just one fish, in a large sea.
