Love, do not degrade thyself
With silence, that dark alloy mis’rably cast
Over the most divine passion, the defrauded fantasy
A plague unleashed through Pandora’s jar, a punishment dealt out by the Erinyes;
Else thy love should come to nothing more,
Than some small death
Sorrowing in the corner of thwarted heart and will.
