It's the end of the day.
You may stop and pray.
You may stop and say.
'Oh i wish, wish i may!'
And into your bed you lay.
Wishing you could've gone another way.
But relax now,
It's the end of the day

At the end of the day you're still just you and i'm still just me.
Isn't that all a person can be?
Lay down your stress your burden and see.
That he is still he and she is still she
And that is the way it ought to be.

At the end of the day,
The horses need their hay,
The fish need the bay,
And we all need to feel okay.
But sometimes the sky is just too gray.
Sometimes our sanity goes astray.
And so ends the day
