Part of My Heart
Part of My Heart
Where should I begin?
It How should I describe?
It A part of me, has been taken far away
Behind the seas, behind the oceans
My first step, my first word
Memories under the palm trees
That my country is known for
Has been all ripped off I
heard a song that reminded me of home I
t's the sound of my mom
Singing for me to sleep in a safe arm
I heard tales of life
It's the sound of my grandmother
Telling me stories about the old day
I wish for the Earth to lose its oceans
So I can return and live One minute of a warm memory
There the sun is bright
Even the darkness brings delight
Because it holds the word Iraq .
