Smile through the pain
I remember your brave face through all this pain
The day you told me,trying to remain brave
"I have lung cancer" you said to me without shedding a single tear you stayed brave
Through the Chemo and the Pills you had the confidence and that smile on your face
Your attitude is what carried us all along
Without it I don't think we would have carried on as long as we did
The cancer ate you like a hungry animal
Killing your insides and making you weak, making you fall to your knees
But through all of this you held your smile
I saw it go away a few times but it came back because you did not give up
I love you Grampy with every thing I have and to give
They will find a cure so people can be happy
They will smile just like you
I love you so much.
