As I walk across that stage,
when they call my name.
I want to be remembered
for the girl who changed.
The amount of hurt
that I have endured,
is nowhere close to equivalent
the love that I have been insured.
I've been bullied and picked on,
called names and pushed down.
But I have risen up victorious
and stand tall wearing the crown.
Over the years, I have grown
into a bright young woman.
Finishing in a state much stronger
than where I first began.
I will go on to attend college
and finally earn my degree.
For I have truly changed
and I want the world to see.
