I looked away
I couldn't bare to see her face

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece shortly after seeing my old bestfriend. We didn't even exchange hellos when we saw eachother. Loosing a friend is a hard situation, but it's not the end of the world. I may not talk to her anymore, but I've come to realize that true friends never really leave you. We may have thought we were best friends at one time, but now we're more like strangers.
