Lucifer's Monologue

I hold you tightly in a sweltering embrace,
Gripping your soul with my torrid, piercing talons.
Unable to escape, you struggle and try to flee,
But there is no evading me, no hiding.
For I am within you,
Watching your every move,
Waiting patiently, prepared to strike.
You regain your security, finally able to breathe,
But there is no evading me, no hiding.
The Big Crescendo
Gradually building,
And building,
And building.
It ends when you can’t take it anymore.
Fates intertwined,
There is no evading me, no hiding.
