Sometimes I think about
pancakes
And want to make the assumption
That pancakes are like lovers
Individual
Ingredients
On their own inedible
But together
Able to cure the pangs of a hunger
Felt on a Saturday morning
After a night of loneliness
And then I remember
Pancakes are just
Pancakes
And that I
Am not a
Poet
