I am the queen of the misfits
That unbowed race of the rejected
We wear our differences with pleasure
Salute no popular flag
We are the forgotten
The wanderers
The ones who follow our feet
Even against the current
We are the colourful
The patterned
The sparkling
We are the richly textured
We the brighter points
We are the fun and
The interesting
The unaccepted, yet accepting
We are the hop-skip-and-a-jumpers
We are friends
We are family
But most of all
We are us.

one of the many nicknames for my friend group is the oddball society. It is a name we coined for ourselves, and one which we take courage from.
