October comes in the form of
Cold, frigid air seeping out of mouths
Leaves crunching and hissing under boots
Pumpkins on porches, lattes and sweaters
October washes over you completely
Yet before you know it
October has completely washed away
Cold, frigid air in mouths
Mouths under mistletoe
Leaves under boots
Boots covered in snow
Pumpkins on sweaters
Sweaters in closets
October washes over you completely
before it completely washes away
