Why should I fear death? If death is, I am not. If I am, death is not. Why should I fear that which cannot exist when I do? - Epicurus

I dyed my hair blue
running dye.
I did naughty things with you
running nose.

Bloody nose
blue bleeding red blood.
Cuts and bathroom stalls
sapphires.
Turquoise becoming maroon
becoming crimson
rubies.
Clear becoming white
becoming opaque
crystals.
Becoming diamonds.

I saw the fog blowing
moon fades
in and out
in and out.
I felt the moisture on
my skin
my hair
you.
We breathe
in and out
in and out
any form of smoke
any form of anything.
Not air.

I tried to be
pretty
for you
failed nails and
lace.

Careful, my love
it’s snowing in here
and
winter is coming.

In the safe haven of
your mess
we cannot sleep
we cannot wake.

Intertwined
I feel you against me
breathing.
Are you good, love?
Yes, love.
We are a lovely pair.
We are the same.

You are
colors
little spoon
asleep in your cocoon
and
feeling you
feeling me
feeling all.

I am
big spoon
soon to swoon
early riser
and
feeling nothing
feeling something
feeling.
And you
and I
sleep on towels
on
mess and mess
and clothes
and mess.
