I fell in love with a tree.

I loved the way her head was always in the clouds and when she stretched she would grasp the stars.

I fell in love when I saw that the sun would dance around her eyes.

The world was painted on her fingertips and the universe sketched on the back of her palms.
But she doesn't need it, she sees it every day.

I told her i loved her and she laughed.
She laughed and told me "in order to see my eyes You must reach for the moon with your spine till every vertebrae is suspended in space."

I said, "that's ok, because my head is closer to your chest and when I walk beside you in a silent night I can hear your heartbeat telling me your soul."

She said,
"You are a bigger man than your body will allow you.
We are skyscrapers that admire the birds but do not envy them,

Because, in cold winters we can wrap familiar arms around each other.
And if you can't stand the judgement of others don't worry I have legs to spare,
I will hand you the stars and kiss you with the sun,
Touch the sky when you ask how much do I love you,

And if you ever feel like the world is coming down on you on an avalanche I will show you that, together, we can move mountains."

I told her, "I apologize that you can't wear my sweaters for my sleeves will be too tight.
And you may be absent of forehead kisses.
And I wont stress enough that we will need a stool in the house.

But, when my arm is blanketed around your waist.
I will allow my hand to sneak to your
belly and feel any butterflies withheld within your stomach.
I love you."
