The roller coaster has tossed me left and right
It used to be fun but now I'm scared
The hill is too high, we won't make it
My eyes close in fear
"I don't want to do this anymore" I cry
I can feel the car clacking on it's chains
My little bumps in life
Over that hill is a future
But if I don't open my eyes I'll never know
is it bad or good?
I whimper in fear as the car stops
"You're fine" a soothing voice whispered in my ear
"I'm scared" I choked between tears
"Don't be" it cooed "you're safe with me"
my eyes slowly opened and looked over the hill
Trees glowed unreal shades of green
The breeze twirled my hair around
Birds sung happily out of sight
It was too perfect to be real
It all smiled at me and just as I smiled back
It flashed
Greens flashed as empty shades of grey
the breeze pulled at my hair violently
The birds songs screeched to ravens notes
It was a gorgeous paradise
That flashed shades of Hell
I didn't want to look
My eyes shut in fear
"Make it stop" I whimpered
"The reality is never perfect"
The once soothing voice rasped
And mixed with the screaming wind
"It's beauty is only a disguise
For the real pain"
and the car plunged down the hill
And my eyes stayed shut
I was scared and has No control
life's a roller coaster always
but some roller coasters
Take a deadly turn
