The Wanderer
She stands
tired of wandering
tired of wondering
wishing to know
the answers
she’s been
looking
for.
Feeling as though
curiosity is a burden. Her burden.
Finds herself always weighed down
by questions that have no answer.
The world moves in waves, circling
the same questions. Shapes clatter
through time. Though no one hears
them. "If a tree falls in a forest
and no one is around to hear
it, does it make a sound?"
Her mind is full of color;
she knows. Just this once,
she knows.
