"I am both happy and sad at the same time, and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be." Stephen Chbosky - Perks of Being A Wallflower

Bow strung, arrow ready
Heart pounding, pulse steady
Eyes lock, focus wavers
Standing still, A voice without quavering says:
Shoot ans see how high you once were,
As you fall.

Brains storm, Emotions rage,
Decisions made, as you open your cage
Arrow dips, The battle is won
Bow unstrung, Yet you are not done.
You say: My heart is long lost to you,
& I fell long ago.

Hearts soar, Hopes spring
Love beats, like beels ring,
Loud & Sweet, Strong & Beautiful
Hearts unravel, Everything has changed
We say: You have saved me from
myself.

Troops await their order, unsure
A broken commander has never been so pure
Minds are lost, chaos erupts
Love blossoms, nothing to disrupt it
They say: Love is weakness to powerful man.

Envy corrupts, jealousy sprouts,
Love has flowed from new spouts,
once clogged spouts, Pain is refreshed.
Envious friends now relish,
But I say: Love is strength for
those strong enough to accept it.

But everything has changed
Love has stopped, Hat has grown,
Bows restrung, Arrows readied,
My heart wide open, burst apart
When your arrow pierces,
I whisper: You were not storng enough for love,
Your fall will be long.

This poem shows how interconnected love, hate and fear are, they are some of the strongest emotions. But it shows that those around you cause you to doubt yourself.
