Waking Up With the Sun

the sun is rising
enterprising
outshining the embers
of slowly dying hope
the sun is rising
anesthetizing
the negative thoughts in my head
bright shining rays!
my spirits do rise
i will not backdown
i will not compromise
and positive thoughts
manifest like the sun
life is not a game
it cannot be won
and take a deep breath
stress is toxic--you're dead
and hope does not reason
so hold up your head
the sun is rising
enterprising
it salutes you for trying again
