I'm Not Proud

I'm not proud of those came before me.
The ones who took people from their home.
The ones who enslaved others.
The ones who made people not proud of who they are.
I am not proud.
Those who came before me are bruisers, emotionally and physically.
Those who came before me not only took from people from their homes but made natives move west to a new home that they didn't know.
A new home where their crops wouldn't grow.
I am not proud.
I am not proud.
