Standing on the edge of society,
Pushing in, pushed out,
The words hurt, stares hurt,
Breaking inside.
Standing on the edge of the world,
One foot on, one foot off,
The wind blows, pressure builds,
About to fall.
Standing on the edge of society,
Want to leave, want to stay,
Much hope, many wishes,
Left unanswered.
Standing on the edge of the world,
Voices rise, voices fall,
Hands reach, help given,
Touching hearts.
Standing on the edge of society,
Standing firm, standing tall,
Confident, hand in hand,
Different together.
