"The man who takes offense when offence is not intended is a fool
However the man who takes offence when it is intended is an even greater fool"
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hugging the shadows I hide
The forgotten soul in a crowd
there are so many filled with pride
then in my twilight world of silence

I become a ghost of what could be
only known by those with empathy
They look for what they can't see
but many are deaf to a spirits plea

I wish to live in the physical world
Silence grows old, It is without risk
We move without any idea of brisk
Love Is the flag of their life, unfurled

I long for that passion, energy, life
Even if it brings risk, pain, strife
I am a spirit hidden in my heart
A spirit who wishes my body wake
to live life until I physically break
My mind won't stop questioning
If I keep trying to find the beginning when will I ever start

The author's comments:
I wrote this about how I like many, feel like just another unknown face in a crowd, sure there are some who get to know us. But we often stay hidden because we question our own abilities. I feel we all need to wake up and start being the little voice who tells a right and wrong or our soul take chances and stop relying on imperfect logic.

It's nice to know that there are other people like me who see the delicate balance in light and reflect how they feel they of are that world instead of the world of light like a poem i wrote yesterday "Between yesterday's blue skies, and tommorow's lonley nights, I live in twilight, only there is peace"

“Someone I loved once gave me a box full of darkness. It took me years to understand that this too, was a gift.”

― Mary Oliver

I wish I was somewhere in the mountains where I could scream and no one would hear me. This gray light is dimly lit and quiets the soul; it is raining; it is raining; water falls from the sky – stellar and careful – for the clouds are reluctant to let them leave. I feel the thrumming of the earth, like a heartbeat, I am living among ghosts, and I am a ghost among the living. From my portfolio. This reminded me of that and I thought you'd like to know that I feel the exact same way!
