The Wish Keepers MAG
The wish keepers are contained in
A handful of dandelions,
Each one staring at me,
Each fuzzy headed lion saying: “catch me, catch me!”
One at a time I blow them astray,
Me, trailing each lion that is running away.
One hundred or so landed on the ground,
Me, running all around.
I caught three or so.
I whispered my deepest regards and wishes in their ears.
Then once again I blow them away.
Tumbling out into the open space.
Each lion roaring my wishes aloud,
Hoping one day that they shall be heard without a sound.
