left to rest
forever in the ground
you and Me
forever broken
forever over

frigid Air all around
Broken hearts, and broken trust
second Chances for second chances
Dos never greater than don’ts
new beginnings at Every end
always Forgetting and never forgiving
Getting what you deserve
but not accepting what Happens
letting Illusions overtaking reality
Just like I predicted
a Kiss goodbye
false I Love you’s always spoken
a Million words left unheard
Never living in the now
Only living in the past
Pieces too broken to ever form a whole again
hearts Quiet of all life and love
left to Rest in anything but peace
Smiles we once shared lost forever
Tears absorbed by pillows every night
the history of Us never living on
memories that are no longer Vivid
What might have been’s haunting my mind
an X that doesn’t end in treasure
Years left wanting
Zero happily-ever-after’s in the story of us

empty promises left unfulfilled
empty words left to die
wilted petals surrounding the letters on a grave
a grave that is as dead as you and me
go ahead and put fresh flowers on the grave
it doesn’t change what’s buried there
