Everything that is done in the world is done by hope.

A single teardrop,
Shed from joy.
And yet no other,
Has a more sorrowful existence.

It joins the world,
Alone and independent,
Soon to be swallowed
By the overwhelming ground beneath.

The lucky few
Join their fallen comrades,
As they drift through existence
with neither meaning nor reason.

A single teardrop,
Shed from Joy,
And yet no other
Has a more sorrowful existence.

The author's comments:
The teardrop is easily one of the most unloved things in the world.

My only love sprung from my only hate. Too early seen unknown and known too late.

This is very beautiful! I think it is meaningful and you should keep up the good work.

Isaac Asimov - "Intelligence is an accident of evolution, and not necessarily an advantage.”

This is a very good poem, it has ryhthm as well as having a strong meanign which you portray beautifully; you show both sides and contrast with the joy and sorrow. You describe it well and you give a strong emotional impact on the reader, making them think and want to cherish tears.
Well Done :)

I love this! This poem has a beautiful and sad feeling to it and I really like how the end leaves something lingering inside me. Great job! :)

So beautiful! I couldn't even cry because I felt it would contradict the whole idea of the poem. Your work is that of a true poet. Amazing.
