Consumerism.
It's what defines us
It's not only our identity
It's what blinds us
It's not only what we fail to see
It's what binds us
Binds us to the standards that were set in place by who?
Good question.
If you wear this swoosh you'll be tight
If you have these shoes you'll be cool
But if you don't
Don't even bother coming to school
Why do we accept this?
How does it improve us?
The whole system is an insult
TO us!
All we are is social toys
Pawns of corporate chess
Victim to the newest fad
Victims to the art of impress
