A Purple Owl

A purple owl
Tucked away in a hollow
Watches over the three little owlets
While their parents are away

A purple owl
Awaits the day
Every quarter change of the moon
Their pink mother takes them
To the golden owl’s hollow
To their grandmother’s hollow

A purple owl
Who never leaves her hollow
Always jumps at the golden chance
To leave her hollow
And fly with her golden grandmother

A purple owl
Says to her golden grandmother
Thanks for everything
Especially for being
My Nana
