Flight
A swing and a miss,
But no
Hey batter batter!
In the background you can fight
Metal into joints
One for each shoulder
Better an enemy you can see
Than a friend at your back
On the floor
Staring up
How high can you fly?
Soar above the sky
Miles high
There's a swing
But no miss
Strike one, two, three
You're out
Runway lines down your arms
Feathered blades to shield you
There are no cliffs in a city
Standing on top
Of swing sets and slides
Only to go home and practice flying
Hey batter batter
Hey
They smiles at your face
Teeth bared like dogs
Fingers itch like claws
There are no cliffs in a city
But height doesn't matter
When your wings won't catch the wind
