Every day begins with intoxicating possibilty
Of things to come, people to meet
But ends with hollow disappointment
Of chances not taken, things left unsaid
Weeks fly by in an unchanging blur
Of boredom and nostalgia
I lust for passion, love, anger, sadness
Anything but the emotionless void
I have gotten stuck in
