Wispy winter air,
So stingingly cold,
Freezes me from the outside-in,
Icy blood,
Flowing through my veins,
I am completely alone,
Trying to find where I belong,
But the bitter coldness is taking over,
Every inch of my body,
As I gasp to regain my breath,
I realize that my legs can't hold me up,
They're just too weak,
Too frostbitten,
Then suddenly,
Light shines out from the thick fog,
That had been clouding up my world,
A dark silhouette appears,
Surrounded by beams of sunshine,
Slowly the figure approaches me,
And instantly,
I feel warmer,
His face is now visible,
He's smiling at me,
Taking my hand,
He brings me back to life,
With his touch,
And then he kisses me,
A soft brush of the lips,
Captivating,
Exhilarating,
Flawless,
But then I blink,
And he's gone,
The sunshine slightly dimmer around me,
But not fading away,
Because he gave me,
Everything I had been missing,
And I have hope,
That I will see him again,
The one that loved me,
The one that saved me,
The light of my life.
