I see you.
Everday you live again,
in my breath
in my bed
in my head

The day they took you away
the minute that knife slashed your throat
the second your body began to decay
your soul flew into mine
and kept me afloat.

But now you’re becoming distant
Coaxed out by force-fed pills
you’re ghostly life is coming to its crescent.
The doctors are making your memory run to the hills.
Please don’t leave me.

darling please stay
honey don’t leave
don’t you want to play?
Can’t you conceive?
I still love you.

The punctuation and grammar is meant to be sloppy. The woman is grieving and can't think. This is her mind, her train of thought.
