Soft violin, slowly weeping in measured time,

drawing your bow across in restrained strokes,

a pair of lover’s hands, lover of earth and sky.

Mold my limbs, splayed fingers floating lightly,

steeple them into oak trees, make them

strong and sturdy and supple.

Coax my lips, sooth a cadenza out of me.

I am the violin, bow held rapturously still,

letting the darkened silence conduct me.

This is a cadenza in itself. Lyrican and lovely to read. It reminds me of playing the violin, which I haven't done in quite a while now. But I still haven't forgot the beautiful music it makes. Very mesmerizing poem.
