false advertising MAG
the weight of
your presence is what
kept me
afloat – as
r e v e r s e d
as that seems.
you were ripped
from me
like some coupon,
“buy one, you'll be free!”
if you were truly purchased
into the heavens above,
where is my
freedom?
or was that just
false advertising?
the noisy colors,
and tacky, endless
exclamation points
made the
claim seem
too good to be
true,
and made that
perforated edge
seem more like a
cliff
that I'm
petrified of
diving from.
