Ante Meridiem
2 am,
She lays in her cursed bed gawking
at the drab ceiling seeking
all of life’s concealed secrets.
3 am,
She rests on the familiar floor shivering
Surveying the same surroundings
Feeling increasingly lost and hopeless.
4 am,
She slumps against the perceptive wall weeping as
The corrupted darkness engulfed her
Just as it had at the same time the night before.
