This deep pain got me feeling worse than ever before.
Debris of our sunken ship pulling up from the sea floor
And washing onto the shore of my broken heart.
Pieces of promises, dreams, and memories of what we were before
And the depth of my love I couldn’t be surer
These days and weeks , they feel like months and years
And you could not fathom the degree of my silent tears
Of this silent storm
Of this silent death
I am drowning,
On what was once our paradise of love.
Strangled in the roots of the love that had blossomed and is now breaking
Time is precious and so too much time should not be taken during this silent depression
To answer this question-
Will you come back to save me?
Or will you leave me stranded
Struggling to breathe
No solid landing
Cause no one ever taught me how to swim
Getting over you I don’t know how to begin
And if me still loving you is a sin I guess I’m going to hell
Right?
You think telling me you still love me will make me feel better
Right?
Wrong.
If you want me you can have me but if not don’t drag me along,
Cause yes I’m getting weaker but my love is still strong.
I’m anchored to your loving.
To stay afloat I’m struggling.
So if you don’t want this to work stop pulling me around
The uncertainty is just pulling me down
Let me go gently but don’t let me drown.
