The Road to Bliss

Everyone knows
Everyone’s been there
Standing stiff and lifeless at a crossroads, in between pleasing one party
And enraging the other
No one seems to budge.

The arguments:
Hateful words, which are thrown around as if nothing is ever sacred
The power and capabilities of these mere words, phrases, and sentences
Is astounding
Where did we go wrong?

We grew up together
Spent every waken moment in each other’s presence
We had that bond, never broken
We shared each other’s goals, dreams, and visions
Like we traded our favorite clothes

Then we changed.
Grew older
Gained Wisdom, but mostly experience
There is so much to learn
Not everything is worth fighting for, but when it is
Fight to show that you want it.

The road to contentment, to true bliss, is challenging
You never know where it may lead
And there is often no endpoint.
But when you realize that people come into your life for a reason
And the ones that seem to come and go
Are not worth the stain
You will rapidly move along

It was a little hard to understand the first two paragraphs, but the rest of it was absolutely stunning! If you tweaked the beginning a little, it would be absolutely PERFECT!
