Gone with the Fire
The river flows along, dreary and dark
Full of dashed dreams that once had a spark
Frozen smiles on the soaked pictures
With a substance that looks like a blood spattered mixture
Broken rings, ripped diplomas
No hope or love, feels like a coma
Too many regrets, feeling guilty inside
Trying hard just to stay alive
Blood spatters over all your brain
can't be, won't be, almost insane
nothing to do except shake in fear
Nervous because the time is here
You try to be innocent, hope with all your might
They can't turn you down, you hope you're right
The angels aren’t coming, instead its all red
Because your time is here instead
