No, it's not a very good story - its author was too busy listening to other voices to listen as closely as he should have to the one coming from inside.
Stephen King

When I first got to Hell,
What really hit me
right in the face
Was the smell.

Thick rotting Death was in the air.
It was like Satan himself
had stuck his grisly fingernails
Into my nostrils
and opened them wide as he
pulled me into his lair.

There was no origin from the start,
to the smell; it was everywhere
But Hell was alive and teeming
Revealing windows of degradation to me
The smell of sexual perversion
and desires of the Heart.

Next- down the Hall, I queried
catching a glimpse of
emotional desperation -
Deep seated resentment and
unleashed fury.

I thought I was in
the bowels of Hell
when I was taken to the next room.
It was physical, literal blatant
5 senses type stuff.
All ripped open
and nailed, gutted parenthetically
sickening, grinning, torturing.

Then I was shown one more.
Infinite eyes just staring
at me.
Humiliating, mocking; striping me
of all my self-worth.
Try as I might
I just wanted them all
to just GO AWAY!
But I just couldn't
shut the door.
