I Saw It Coming...

As I sat there,
Watching.
Day after day,
In the cold hospital room,
I took in every moment,
Every 'I love you'
Everything you did.
I saw it coming.
I just didn't think this soon.
You were healthy,
You were strong,
But...
You were a hundred and four.
Remembering that last night I saw you,
I knew then,
It was time.
God was talking to you,
And you were talking back.
A tear rolled down your cheek,
It made me break,
Not wanting to accept it,
But...
God found it time for you to go.
And I saw it coming..
